SUMMARY:West Coast Mennonite Men's Chorus Concert
DESCRIPTION:  \nEstablished in 1978\, the WCMMC has been blessed with the honor of worshipping our Lord through music and also raising funds for relief work around the world. This group of committed men who love to sing have joined together to form the West Coast Mennonite Men’s Chorus. Although rich in the Mennonite tradition of singing as a significant form or worship\, this group now represents men from many walks of life and various churches who commit their time and talent to this time-honored endeavor. Centered in the Fresno\, California area\, singers come from surrounding cities and states to practice and perform.  \nSeveral concerts are performed each year. Funds raised through free-will offerings at each concert help support the projects associated with disaster relief and humanitarian efforts throughout the world.  The chorus has been an active supporter of world relief projects throughout the chorus history; more than $550\,000 has been raised to date. All funds raised go to directly to the project. The expenses associated with the operation of the chorus are covered through sponsor donations and underwriting by members of the chorus itself. \nThis concert is free\, but a love offering will be taken for their ministry.

This concert is free\, and open to the community. \nDoug Anderson is best known as Ernie Haase & Signature Sound‘s long time baritone since the quartet’s formation. He took a break from the group in 2015 to pursue a solo career\, but has returned as of November 2021. \nHe turned toward music during college\, joining a quartet called Lighthouse. One day\, Lighthouse met a group called the Cathedral Quartet\, which featured Ernie Haase. A while later\, Haase set out on his own and invited Anderson to join him. Ernie Haase & Signature Sound officially formed in 2003. Anderson released his debut album “Dreamin’ Wide Awake”\, on May 3\, 2011. Doug formed part of the American Christian music trio Cana’s Voice in 2016. They released their debut album This Changes Everything the same year. It was followed by Live at Champion Forest and Don’t Wanna Miss This\, in 2017 and 2019 respectively.

For over two decades\, through 15 albums and more than 2\,500 concerts in North and South America\, Europe\, Australia\, and Asia\, Jaime’s music has touched the lives of millions. It can touch yours too. \n\nABOUT JAIME JORGE\nBorn in Cuba in 1970\, Jaime began violin studies at age five. When he was ten\, Jaime’s family immigrated to the United States and he began lessons with the eminent violinist Cyrus Forough\, a student of the great David Oistrakh. \nJaime’s mom wanted him to be a violinist\, but he dreamed of becoming a missionary doctor. When he entered college in 1988\, he began to take all the pre-med courses\, in order to prepare to go to Medical School. In 1992\, Jaime was accepted into the University Of Illinois Medical School\, but into his second year of Medical School\, Jaime felt the Lord’s call to leave medical school for a life of service dedicated to music ministry. DESCRIPTION:Love Does\, an outreach ministry of the Visalia Adventist Church\, is conducting a food drive to help families in need during the quickly approaching Thanksgiving holiday. Due to a recent increase in families needing support\, the Visalia Unified School District has launched a “Non-Perishable Food Drive. The V.U.S.D. Family and Resource center will remain open during the holiday breaks\, and they want to be prepared to assist students and families in need. This food drive will take place through Saturday\, November 22. You can drop off your non-perishable food donations at 1310 South Woodland Street from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM every Saturday through November 22.
