SUMMARY:West Coast Mennonite Men's Chorus Concert
DESCRIPTION:  \nEstablished in 1978\, the WCMMC has been blessed with the honor of worshipping our Lord through music and also raising funds for relief work around the world. This group of committed men who love to sing have joined together to form the West Coast Mennonite Men’s Chorus. Although rich in the Mennonite tradition of singing as a significant form or worship\, this group now represents men from many walks of life and various churches who commit their time and talent to this time-honored endeavor. Centered in the Fresno\, California area\, singers come from surrounding cities and states to practice and perform.  \nSeveral concerts are performed each year. Funds raised through free-will offerings at each concert help support the projects associated with disaster relief and humanitarian efforts throughout the world.  The chorus has been an active supporter of world relief projects throughout the chorus history; more than $550\,000 has been raised to date. All funds raised go to directly to the project. The expenses associated with the operation of the chorus are covered through sponsor donations and underwriting by members of the chorus itself. \nThis concert is free\, but a love offering will be taken for their ministry. \n \n\n\n\n\n Add to calendar

DESCRIPTION:  \nMEN’S CHORUS SINGS FOR CALIFORNIA WILDFIRE VICTIMS\n  \nThe West Coast Mennonite Men’s Chorus – Over 70 singers and\ninstrumentalists will be giving a free concert Sunday\, April 16\, 6:00PM at\nthe Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church\, 1362 L Street\, Reedley .\nThe Chorus is made up of farmers\, doctors\, bus drivers\, attorneys\, truck\ndrivers\, teachers\, etc.\, most living in the San Joaquin Valley and the central\ncoast.\nA desire to share the love of God through music and to raise money for\ndisaster victims in need is what draws these men together.\nThis year the chorus is excited and honored to have joining them NEWWIN\n4 – a gifted and talented string quartet whose members have performed\nwith various artists including Mannheim Steamroller and Jackie Evancho on\nAmerica’s Got Talent.\nThe chorus director is Randy Janzen\, former vocal and instrumental\ninstructor at Baymonte Christian Schools in Santa Cruz and previous\ndirector of music at Neighborhood Church in Visalia – now music director at\nReedley Mennonite Brethren Church.\nCome to this free concert and hear the worshipful four\, five and six part\nharmonies of the West Coast Mennonite Men’s Chorus and NEWWIN 4\nThis year’s offering will be taken to rebuild fire ravaged homes in Paradise\nand Butte County California. \nFor more information go to www.wcmmc.org
