Charity of the Month

Wheels of the World, a ministry of Joni and Friends, hand delivers wheelchairs and bibles to people with disabilities in developing countries. Each year they collect thousands of used manual wheelchairs and other mobility equipment through volunteer efforts. Inmates in prison-based restoration centers throughout the US restore these donated wheelchairs to like-new condition. Each recipient receives a custom-fit wheelchair and hears the Gospel message. Recipients also receive a Bible in their language, get training in wheelchair use and upkeep, and have the opportunity to connect with a local Christ-honoring church.
