Hands In The Community

BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN
THE HELPERS & OUR COMMUNITY
Hands In The Community of Tulare & Kings County is a volunteer driven organization that serves those in need. Their objective is to assist people in becoming self-sufficient and more specifically, to strengthen the ability of individuals and families to care for themselves. They assist with access to services towards improved care and well-being. The majority of those they serve are low-income, children, families, disabled, at-risk youth, and the elderly. Since 2009, they have helped over 6,500 families.
As a non-profit organization, there is never a charge to anyone for services provided by HNC. In some instances, recipients contribute what they are able to toward the cost of project parts or materials. However, in every instance, HNC works to minimize cash outlay through donations, fundraising, and corporate sponsors. Giving through the community, they turn every $1 donated into approximately $2 of goods and services by volunteers giving of their time, skills, and resources in order to help the underserved in our community
