God has blessed me so much in my life with wonderful people who have loved and instructed me since I was a little tyke. Growing up in a Christian home wasn’t always the most fun thing in the world, yet looking back, I see so clearly how fortunate I was and am.
Ever since I was a little guy I’ve loved microphones and talking. In fact, my mother would often tell me, “Donnie, your voice carries! Shhhhh!!” Ironically, this is something I find myself repeating word for word to my son, Gavin.
Apparently, the “voice that carries” was a gift God gave me to fulfill the radio dream He planted in my heart when I was conceived. Now, my job is to encourage others to remember that God loves them no matter what they do and gives them rules to follow to keep us safe, happy and close to Him.
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever will believe in Him will not die, but have life everlasting.” I love this “Gospel in a nutshell” because in a single sentence I’m reminded about God’s whole plan to not only save us, but draw us closer to Him forever.
